A list of free games being offered on the Epic Games Store over the Christmas period has been leaked online and is believed to be accurate.
The Epic Games Store began offering a free game a day as part of its Epic Holiday Sale on December 17, starting with Cities: Skylines.
While the plan was to have each game reveal be a mystery, the full list of games seems to have been leaked online.
On December 18, YouTuber jovanmunja claimed to have received said list and, though even they weren’t sure if it was real or not, they did point out that the first two games were accurate, as Oddworld: New ‘N’ Tasty had been made available earlier that day.
And then, after the list had been shared online, the next game was revealed to be The Long Dark on December 19, followed by Defense Grid: The Awakening on December 20, both of which were the next games on the list.
Today’s free game will be revealed at 4pm GMT and if it is Alien Isolation, as the list suggests, it might cement it as being completely factual.
The remaining contents of the list consist of:
- Alien: Isolation
- Metro 2033
- Tropico 5
- Inside
- Darkest Dungeon
- My Time In Portia
- Night In The Woods
- Stranded Deep
- Solitairica
- Torchlight 2
- Jurassic World Evolution
The inclusion of Darkest Dungeon has grabbed a lot of peoples’ eyes, as it’s currently not available on the Epic Games Store.
The sequel, Darkest Dungeon 2, is currently scheduled to come to early access in early 2021, but the first game is completely absent, which has some thinking that Epic is planning to drop a surprise release.
This wouldn’t be the first time Epic Games was subjected to a leak like this. Earlier in the year, a line-up of planned free games was shared online, though it ended up only being partially accurate – possibly because Epic changed it as a result of the leak.
