Call Of Duty: Warzone bunkers are finally open and they’re full of… secrets

The bunkers in Warzone’s Verdansk have been unlocked but although that means lots of loot there’s also plenty of new mysteries too.

Start your conspiracy theories now because even though you can finally access the bunkers in Verdansk, it’s clear that Call Of Duty: Warzone has still got more secrets to reveal.

To enter the bunkers is surprisingly simple in the end, you just need the red access card that was added a couple of updates back as rare loot and which has previously done nothing but is now suddenly working.

With that you can enter the bunkers and make off with all the high-tier loot inside… and then wonder how you get into the other locked doors.

Considering how long this mystery has been going, it’ll probably be a long time until anyone works out how to get into the new doors, if they even work at all.

Although the working access card was not mentioned in the latest patch notes they did end with the follow odd message: ‘Number station is Protocol Yellow. Activate system. is inbound. Awaiting correct authorization.’

Whether that’s meant to refer to the initial bunker doors or be a clue for the others isn’t clear, but in a recent interview, developer Infinity Ward implied there was much more to Verdansk than just some closed doors.

‘They have found clues, and that there is more than meets the eye in this city. Season 4 will unravel some of those mysteries and unlock some of them for our players’, said Infinity Ward’s Taylor Kurosaki.

That suggests there probably won’t be any more revelations until Season 4 begins, which is due to start on Tuesday, 26 May. Or at least that’s the current assumption – it may be that it’s slightly delayed because of the coronavirus.
